There is noticeable momentum in the early childhood landscape in Missouri! Join fellow grantmakers from across Missouri to learn more about State & Federal Policy Changes in 2023; What to Expect from State Policy in 2024 (bill filing started December 1st!); and the community-level experience.
Speakers will include fellow MO funders supporting early child initiatives and policy change, including Dr. Jim Anderst, Board member of the Missouri Children’s Trust Fund. Brian Schmidt, Executive Director of Kids Win Missouri, will provide an overview of the early child landscape in Missouri. Additionally, you will hear about community-level experiences from partners involved in the Child Care and Early Education Community Planning Project.
Participants will learn more about one community (Greene County) participating in Cohort 1 of the Child Care and Early Education Community Planning Project, meet other funders interested in the early child space, and hear from expert speakers, including:
- Dr. Jim Anderst, Missouri Children’s Trust Fund
- Brian Schmidt, Kids Win Missouri
- Amanda Coleman, Community Partnership of the Ozarks
- Karen Kunkel, Springfield Chamber of Commerce
- Kimberly Shinn-Brown, Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation
- Ozarks Technical College (tentative)
You'll also have time to share your own 2024 plans and pose peer-to-peer questions.
