Program Description
Join Philanthropy Missouri, fellow grantmakers, and nonprofit peers for St. Louis' 3rd PEEP Cross-Sector Happy Hour themed "Here Comes the Sun." The event will be emceed by Maryanne Dersch of Courageous Communications and will feature a commissioned poem by Grace Ruo, 2021 STL Youth Poet Laureate. Attendees will have the opportunity to join two networking breakout rooms on a topic of their choice (both personal and professional topics will be included), and the evening will close with a performance from the Legendary Red and Black Brass Band.
Nonprofit & social sector professionals, volunteers, board members, funders, and trustees are all invited to attend this free virtual event.
History
Beverages to Enhance Equity in Relationships (BEER) was created in 2017 by Vu Le, author of the blog Nonprofit AF, as a way for funders and nonprofits to get to know one another and build relationships informally and without an agenda. Known today as PEEP—Party to Enhance Equity in Philanthropy, this event is celebrated nationally in conjunction with the summer solstice.
