Program Description

More than 65 years after the Supreme Court ruled in Brown v. Board of Education that school segregation was unconstitutional because separate education was inherently unequal, the education system in St. Louis remains inequitable, with significant outcome gaps.

Join Philanthropy Missouri (formerly Gateway Center for Giving) for a discussion of the newly issued Still Separate, Still Unequal community accountability and advocacy tool from Forward Through Ferguson, which examines these inequities and serves as a call to action. Guest speakers will share disparity data and offer strategies for creating equity-centered, transformational systems change that offers all children an opportunity to thrive.

We’ll also hear perspectives from a regional grantmaker who has been actively engaged in funding this work.
