Program Description

Giving in Numbers is the unrivaled leader in benchmarking for corporate social investments. Utilizing the largest annual survey alongside its historical data set to identify trends, Chief Executives for Corporate Purpose (CECP) publishes this annual go-to guide that has helped define the field for nearly two decades.

Philanthropy Missouri is pleased to offer Missouri's corporate philanthropic leaders exclusive early access to the 2024 report. The data indicates a return to pre-pandemic trends even while sociopolitical and economic uncertainty are putting new pressures on corporate giving.

On November 14, Kate Stobbe, CECP Director of Corporate Insights, will join us for a virtual roundtable to share insights into the 2024 benchmarking data and also provide updates on the trending topics of corporate disclosure and navigating tensions with DEI commitments.

Time will be reserved for your questions and for small group check-ins with Missouri peers.

What is the PhilMO Corporate Funder Network?

With more than fifty years of service to the philanthropic sector, Philanthropy Missouri (PhilMO) recognizes the value of providing customized offerings for smaller groups of funders within and beyond the membership. Now called “Networks,” these groups generally meet at least twice a year and over multiple years; usually a Network receives sponsorship to support speakers, staff time, etc.

The Corporate Funder Network has existed in many formats dating back to the organization’s founding in 1970. Comprised of corporate philanthropy professionals of all levels (inclusive of corporate giving funds and corporate foundations), this group offers networking and educational events and serves as a forum for PhilMO Members to elevate best practices and share program concepts to advance corporate citizenship and community relations. Member-Advisors provide peer leadership to determine topics, and speakers are drawn both from the PhilMO Membership and outside experts in the field. This Network also has specialized content available through the Midwest Partnership webinar series, which connects funders across Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio.

The Corporate Funder Network will next convene in-person the afternoon of January 30, 2025, as part of the Show-Me Philanthropy Statewide Conference & Annual Meeting in Columbia, MO. If you are interested in providing peer leadership for the Corporate Funder Network, please contact Michelle at michelle (at) philmo.org.
