Program Description
Gateway Center for Giving, in partnership with local strategy organization SkipNV, will host a gathering of funders interested in considering the question, “How can we ensure that all St. Louisans have access to high quality education?” Presenters Saras Chung and Ellen O'Neill will offer an introduction to systems thinking as a way to create educational equity in this space and demonstrate how rigorous data analysis can be paired with community voice to identify places of leverage for long-term change.
Background
Rooted in St. Louis, SkipNV is a systems strategy organization that uses community-based participatory research to understand why problems in education persist. SkipNV co-designs long-term sustainable system strategies by engaging with educational stakeholders including teachers, students, parents/caregivers, school leaders, nonprofits, businesses, and foundations.
