Philanthropy Missouri is pleased to welcome Amy Wescott as the new Director of Services for Southwest Missouri. Based in Branson, Amy is the first new hire for Philanthropy Missouri (formerly the Gateway Center for Giving) and a key part of the statewide organization’s plans to connect and serve grantmakers across Missouri in order to strengthen and expand philanthropic best practices. A seasoned communications expert and engaged community member, Amy brings two decades of experience in the private and nonprofit sectors to her leadership role.
“As a longtime resident of southwestern Missouri, I am looking forward to connecting with our region’s grantmakers and providing resources and support for their strategic and impactful philanthropy,” said Wescott. “Building a funder network throughout southwest Missouri will help to amplify the incredible generosity we see in the region.”
Philanthropy Missouri, a regional association of grantmakers first incorporated in 1970, provides robust and informative programming, sector research and peer networking opportunities to grantmaking organizations, and fosters collaboration in alignment with community needs. Membership is open to corporations, foundations, trusts, donor-advised funds and professional advisors actively involved in philanthropy. Current Members collectively represent $5.8 billion in charitable assets, and their strategic giving creates sustained and meaningful community impact.
