Program Description
Join Philanthropy Missouri and grantmaking peers for an Early Childhood funder briefing with Dr. Pam Thomas, Assistant Commissioner of the newly created Missouri Office of Childhood. The new Office, set to formally launch operations on August 30, 2021, aims to consolidate Missouri’s early childhood programs and funding across the state, including child care, home visiting, pre-kindergarten, and afterschool programming.
During this online, interactive program, Dr. Thomas will provide an overview of the Office's creation, activities, and engagement with federal stimulus funds, and then answer Member-submitted questions during a virtual fireside chat Q&A with facilitator Sarah Bowman of PNC Bank. Members are invited to submit questions for Dr. Thomas ahead of the event through this link. The program will conclude with time for participant follow-up questions.
This conversation is also intended to introduce grantmakers across the state who may have complementary interests, and to provide participants with information on opportunities for further engagement.
